Rain Garden

Our rain garden feature helps save and purify water by collecting rain during storms. Water around the property is collected and flows into the rain garden through gutters, channels, and underground pipes. The many native plant species in the garden, such as Muhly Grass, Mealy Blue Sage, and Texas Redbuds act as a natural filter, removing pollutants before the water returns to a large underground retention pond beneath the building. The retention pond filters out heavy sediments, and the water returns to the city system.

Intentional Design

Architectural elements of the Saint George work to enhance and maximize natural light throughout units, corridors, and amenity spaces. The courtyards thoughtfully placed across the complex allow for a connection to nature, filled with lush, native plants. The open-air corridors help create a constant connection to the outdoors along with other amenity spaces like the roof deck and pool lounge.

Built for the Future, with respect to the Past

Nestled on historic Burnet Road in Austin, The Saint George is situated between local haunts like TacoDeli and DipDipDip as well as new spots like Mama Betty’s and Foxtail. Upon entering you will be greeted by our friendly Saint George birds commissioned by a local Austin artist. Relax in our vintage-inspired clubhouse by listening to records from local heroes like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Willie Nelson on our in-house record player.  Check out our coffee table books that pay homage to the “Live Music Capital of the World” and Austin’s storied past.
